07/06/2006 - smiler!

Elizabeth is smiling more and more now. It's hard to catch it on camera though! She was weighed again on the 8th, and is now 10lb 5oz. Not much of a gain in the last week.

05/06/2006 - My first feed!

Clare expressed some milk, and I fed Elizabeth for the first time. We were both a bit worried about how it would go, but we needn't have been! She drained the bottle in no time, and another one after that too.

Elizabeth met a lot of new relatives this weekend. As well as those pictures here, she also met Joan and Graham, Sylvia and Fred, Katherine & Russell.

She can hold her head up most of the time now. Still flops after a while though.

This was the start of our first real trip out of the house. A whole weekend spent in Wales at Clare's parent's house.

We try and put Elizabeth on her front to play for a bit a couple of times a day, just so she isn't on her back all the time!

Elizabeth was weighed again on the 25th, and she is now 9lb 9.5oz. Still gaining about an ounce a day.

I need to catch up on some sleep this weekend!

The health visitor visited again yesterday, and Elizabeth is now 9lbs 2oz. Still gaining at a healthy rate. Elizabeth is 6 weeks old tomorrow, but we have met a few women whose babies were born at this kind of weight. I think Clare is very glad that Elizabeth wasn't!

12/05/2006 - Sicky baby

Elizabeth has developed in to a very sicky baby! We now have her in a bib most of the time, and we get through a huge amount of muslin cloths. She still sleeps OK though, and is gaining weight rapidly, so it isn't too much of a problem!
